Photography Sessions with Sarah
I have enjoyed working as a wedding and portrait photographer for over 15 years alongside my husband with PSDavis Photography. Now that I run and manage a flower farm full-time, I’m so excited to offer my love of photography to you through photo shoots in our flower field!
Photo shoots are available when our fields are at their peak beauty, June 1st-October 5th.
Photo sessions begin at $195/hr. Please email us foothillsflowerva@gmail.com to reserve your spot. A schedule will be available here of open dates/times as we get closer to June.
Please read the photo session terms so we all have a great time on the farm:
-One clientele/family/senior/couple per hour. (If you need to schedule a larger group, please email us)
- Photo sessions are for 1-hour time slots. We ask that you respect your time slot. One hour begins at the time of arrival until departure, the actual time of photography will be approximately 45 minutes. We are opening our home and private space in our off-hours to allow people to enjoy our farm. Please respect the allotted time. If you go over your allotted time, there will be an additional charge of $75.
-Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you want to pick flowers before or during your photography session. Clients are offered a 20% discount at the time of their session for flowers. You can pay for the flowers via Venmo or Cash. Your price would be $20/35/$60 size options. We accept cash or Venmo for the flowers.
-You may not arrive more than 10 minutes early for your photoshoot. Be sure to communicate this to all parties involved with the shoot.
-We do NOT have restrooms available on site. Please consider this when planning your trip to our farm.
-Please note this is a working farm, which means we can’t guarantee that mud, irrigations, equipment etc will not be visible. Our flowers are grown for production, not photoshoots, so we do not guarantee perfection in the field. However, photographers have an amazing eye and can work their magic with their cameras, so this shouldn’t be an issue. Please make sure everyone in your group is sure-footed and can navigate walking uneven terrain.
-We are happy to reschedule you if there is unpredictable weather, but photo sessions are non-refundable.

Can we pick flowers during a professional photoshoot?
Yes, however, it is not included in the price of the photo shoot. If you are interested, just email us after you have booked your shoot and we will make sure everything is set out for you to pick flowers. We offer a 20% discount for photography clients at the time of the shoot.
Do you have restrooms on site?
We do not. Please plan accordingly.
Where can we take photos?
You get access to our flower field and dahlia field (if you are here during dahlia season). This farm is also our home so we do not allow photos in our greenhouse or near our home. The photo shoot will take place in our flower field.
Can I have multiple families in the one hour I schedule?
No, just one clientele per hour. For example, one family, one senior, one couple. (Not 3 families, 2 cats, 2 friends, and a dog!)
Do you allow pets to be included?
We do not.
Can we just do a photo sessions during your open U-pick dates?
Paying u-pick customers can absolutely come and take photos with their phones or even nice cameras. However, we do not allow full-on photo shoots with clients during this time. It gets a little awkward for our customers if you ask people to move out of your shot or bring props and reflectors for the perfect shot. Our customers are here to enjoy the quiet outdoors of our farm. If you are interested in professional photoshoots at our farm, please schedule a private session.
