Charlottesville, VA Wedding Photography: Meghan and John
Meghan called me back in the Spring about the possibility of shooting their Halloween wedding. Sarah and I had just decided to move to Charlottesville and she was our first bride to sign up! I've enjoyed getting to know both her and John over the past few months and I was so excited to be a part of their amazing wedding day. The ceremony and reception were held at the ever-beautiful Farmington Country Club here in Charlottesville. Just like last weekend, I had my eye on the weather the entire week, especially Saturday morning. The rain held off just long enough to get through the ceremony and most of the portraits!
So many people had asked me in the past few weeks about what a Halloween wedding would be like, so here are a few images from the day! The ceremony was a beautiful tribute to Meghan and John's Celtic heritage. The reception was a blast - complete with masquerade masks! Many of the guests donned their costumes for the reception which added a special flare. Be sure to check back soon for some photo booth images! Let's just say I've never seen a professional wrestler and a werewolf at the same wedding before! Oh, and did I mention there were 28 people in the bridal party??? Meghan and John are very loved people. It was a beautiful day, you two.
And on a personal note, a huge thanks goes out to Maggie Stein for coming along as my 2nd shooter. Usually, Sarah and I shoot all of our weddings together, but she hasn't been feeling the best since she's in her first trimester! Hopefully this phase will pass soon! Now, on to the pictures!
